Analysing the conflict in Georgia in terms of international law, Russia was undoubtedly the aggressor. But after its unlawful invasion of Iraq, the U.S. and its coalition allies no longer have the moral authority to challenge Russia's intervention. Whilst U.S. meddling in the Caucasus and the encouragement that it has given to the neocon puppet that it was able to install in Tbilisi, undoubtedly provoked the situation, the failure is primarily that of the EU.

What would the United States of America be doing right now, if Russian warships were parking off the coast of the USA or Canada? Right now there is a fleet in the Black Sea, even a Coast Guard vessel. One way in and one way out folks?

Don't forget that it was Georgia which started the fight, probably hoping for Western intervention (how likely was that!!??) got thumped and now the U.S. is calling for a return to pre-conflict borders??!! Russia is looking after its own borders as well as Russian people and the U.S. should keep their nose out of the Russian sphere of influence. This is a new Russia, not the weakling economic looser of twenty years ago. The U.S. in fact the West in general, should be bending over...
